Greenbuild 2019: A Foundation for Green Building and Circular Solutions

Greenbuild 2019: The foundation of green building and recycling solutions

I recently joined my Rubicon® colleague at the Greenbuild 2019 conference at the Georgia World Convention Center (GWCC) in Atlanta, Georgia, which is the largest sustainable building conference in the world.

During the four-day conference, Greenbuild hosted more than 200 conferences, visits and seminars, attracting hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees every year-for good reason!

This year, I joined the list of speakers at the Greenbuild conference (the list was titled by former President Barack Obama) to talk about "zero waste in the construction industry", and at Rubicon, our main focus is how to remove as much waste as possible from garbage. Bury sites and enter the recycling stream as much as possible; in my opinion, this starts with the construction and demolition phases of any project.

In addition to my speech, my colleagues and I also met hundreds of industry leaders at the Rubicon booth, which is located next to the CDRA booth.

Greenbuild 2019 observation

One of my main observations at Greenbuild 2019 is that a large number of people are happy to see new developments in the construction and demolition waste and recycling industries and the entire green (sustainable) construction industry.

This is an industry full of innovative new ideas and thought leadership on how we should move this industry forward. Rubicon co-founder and head of construction and demolition project solutions, Marc Spiegel recently wrote a blog post for the Greenbuild website about how C&D and project-based recycling can save costs (rather than cost centers). I suggest you read it.

Currently, the industry has many open-ended questions, especially when it comes to the composition of the real transfer of different material types. Greenbuild 2019 has helped advance this conversation in many different ways, and I am very happy to be a part of this conversation.

Rubicon's overall C&D solution

Rubicon's mission is to end all forms of waste by helping its partners find value in the waste stream and confidently implement its sustainable development goals.

Especially in the field of construction and demolition, our business unit has achieved substantial growth in the past few years, Rubicon provides our partners with a total solution, focusing on entering the ground floor construction project in the design phase so that we can make recommendations , To help our partners move from their current location to the location they want, from the perspective of transfer.

In short, we work with our partners to make them better-instead of selling them a trash can.

If you have any questions, or if you are interested in discussing our C&D recycling solution in Rubicon with me, please contact me directly at chris.batterson@rubiconglobal.com or (678) 906 2667.

I like Greenbuild 2019 very much. Thanks to everyone who visited the Rubicon booth-I look forward to seeing you at Greenbuild 2020 in sunny San Diego next year!
