Join the International Bagless Day on July 3!

Can you imagine a zero waste world where we continue to use disposable plastic bags? This is impossible, right? There are several reasons why we should phase out single-use plastic bags in Europe.

Europeans overwhelmingly support the ban on single-use plastic bags. The European Commission tried to promote this measure in 2012, but it was blocked due to the interests of some member states and some industries. Another reason for continuing to demand such bans at the national and international levels.

July 3 is the third International Day without Plastic Bags, organized by GAIA, Zero Waste Europe and Fundació Prevenció de Residus i Consum.

In Brussels EEB, GAIA and Seas At Risk issued a press release requesting the European Commission to ban the use of single-use plastic bags.
