SUEZ calls for recycling label shake-up

SUEZ called for a reorganization of the recycling label.

Based on independent research, the company designed a labeling system that uses the "traffic light" color version of the existing Mobius recycling ring to show consumers whether the product can be easily recycled. Each product will also be assigned a number, indicating which trash or recycling bin it can be placed in. Then, councils and companies will mark their existing trash cans with relevant numbers.

SUEZ claims that such a system will eliminate the need for Parliament to "coordinate" hundreds of different recycling systems by introducing new containers and infrastructure, which is opposed by many local authorities.
