Zero Waste: the answer to “Wasted potential!” in the EcoInnovation Forum

Zero waste: "Waste potential!" The answer is in the ecological innovation forum

The zero waste strategy is a way to create green jobs and infrastructure. This needs to be on the agenda of the G20

Many members of Zero Waste Europe were invited to introduce the good practices of the network. Among them: Contarina, the best performing region in Europe, the impressive results of Capannori, Gipuzkoa and Hernani, the first town in Europe to announce a zero waste goal, the excellent reuse and maintenance center of Kretsloppsparken, and the experience of the People’s Design Laboratory project.

Other presentations at this forum include visionary thinker (and doer!) Gunter Pauli, EU environmental commissioner, Janez Potocnik, founder of Repair Café, Martine Postma, CEO of Circle Economy, Guido Braam and Vice Chairman of ACR+ Jean-Pierre Hannequart.

All in all, this is a small step in redesigning European consumption and production while phasing out landfill and incineration.
